Hi, I'm Maddy! As President, I oversee the smooth running of OUGS and am proud to introduce the excellent committee behind it. We are dedicated to engaging students with our natural and human worlds through meaningful events. Geography is a dynamic discipline well-poised to solve many issues facing our generation, and I look forward to exploring this with all of you. I hail from sunny Singapore and love fencing, hiking and the beach. Come chat sustainable development or rocks with me, or simply reach out if you have any questions about the society!

Hello! I'm Barney, the treasurer - meaning I ensure the books are balanced and there is plenty to spend on our many events in the year! I'm  a second year at Brasenose with interests in open source intelligence, geopolitics, data analysis and aviation. I also (stereotypically, perhaps) enjoy a good game of Geogussr! My name is Daisy and I am a first year geographer at Mansfield College. I will be the access officer, hoping to work collaboratively with the rest of the committee, members of OUGS and the wider student body to increase access to geography and the university more broadly! My areas of geographical interest include critical development geographies and geographies of the body. Please reach out to me with any ideas, queries or feedback on outreach!

Hiya! I’m Siri, a second year Geographer at Keble college. Serving as secretary, I’ll be handling the background admin so that we can put on exciting events for you. I’ll also be editing our newsletter (top tip: keep a lookout for GeoTrivia and other fun bagatelles :)  ). My greatest geographical interests are demographics, sustainable development and human rights. Hey! My name is Maisy and I am a third year geographer at Christ Church College and will be managing IT/Marketing. My interests in geography lie in the physical realm and includes deserts, data science and volcanoes. Outside of geography I enjoy road cycling and painting. Hi! I'm Hannah and I will be Events Officer and a first year geographer at Mansfield College. I'll be planning events and ensuring they run smoothly. I enjoy human and environmental geography, and in particular development, migration and the Anthropocene. Aside from geography, I like to read and go on walks and bike rides (the muddier the better!).
